Hmm, what to blog about... what to blog about...
Let's see......

Yesterday I watched a movie with Stephanie called the Secret of NIMH. I remember watching the sequel to it whenever I was little, but I didn't remember ever watching the first one. So we watched it!
It was made in 1982, but the animation was still really good (even better than the second one, in my opinion.)
And the story was really good too. The second one came out in 1998 and its plot was just as good, but the movie didn't really live up to it...if that makes sense. They could've made it a lot better if they edited some stuff out and reworded a couple of parts. It just didn't seem to flow like the first one did.

Anyway, here's what I'm trying to say: lots of people think that just because something is old, it sucks; if something is new, it's a lot better than the old stuff.

Well, right now I'm playing a video game (man, I feel like a nerd) and it was released in 1989. As you can imagine, the graphics aren't all that great. But it's one of the best games ever. It has a super-awesome story and a super-awesome script and a super-awesome everything. You learn to get over the graphics (which don't really bother me anyway) and love everything else about it!
And if people would just get over how old something is or how low-tech it looks and broaden their horizons, they'd become a lot more accepting of things, thus becoming a better person!

P.S.:

So yeah, that's the game I'm playing... I'm not very far in it, only got two out of the four main characters in my party. Just trainin up the dude in back (Loid) before I go after the third character! Haha. :B
Okay, done ranting about my MOTHER games. Gonna start writing another blog now.

I agree, some of the old stuff is awesome!
Like, in my opinion, the old Spyro games for PlayStation (1) are waaaaay better than the new ones. I mean, they changed almost everyone's appearance and totally messed up the button layout. :(

But anyways, I like the animation of The Secret of NIMH better than the second movie. The first doesn't seem as cheap (they spent more time on it). As far as storylines go, I do like the second's, but I still think the first's is better. :D

    Yes!!
And even though sometimes newer games are better graphic-wise and control-wise (coughSILENT HILLcough), some things are better by themselves.

Like movies that have unnecessary sequels. They could've just stood alone, but noooo. Someone had to go and make a dumb continuation of it that ruins the whole point of the original movie. Ugh. I hate those.
Secret of NIMH 2 was kinda like that. I actually liked some parts of it, but overall I think the first one would've been better as the only movie in the series.
