Since everyone else has been writing poems, I figured I oughta write one too.
I'm not a deep person, so poems I write mainly just rhyme.
Not like a complicated ABCDABDEFCE rhyming scheme.
More like "The Cat and the Hat" rhyming. Except not as good.
I kinda fudge on words that rhyme, but you get what I mean...
I've never tried a chocolate eclair, so yeah. I just needed something to rhyme with bears.
And "jumping in airs" doesn't work.
Anyways, here goes:
I like turtles and rainbows and hot springs and bears,
reading and writing and chocolate eclairs;
mushrooms and puppies and colorful trees,
smelling the rain on a cool, stormy breeze;
niceness and kindness and campfire s'mores,
these are the things I adore!

I dread running and falling and scraping my knees,
needles and beetles and bumbling bees;
people and things that change when I'm gone,
darkness and loudness and nuclear bombs;
bleeding and dying and witnessing tears,
these are the things that I fear!

I hate school work and homework and all things related,
telling a friend "Happy Birthday!" belated;
bologna and drama and mean little kids,
waking up early with droopy eyelids;
burgers and broccoli and burning my toast,
these are the things I hate most!

I treasure family and friends and Neil Patrick Harris,
pinics and carnivals and a band called Save Ferris;
skating and biking and extensive car rides,
laughing so hard it starts hurting my sides;
waving my hands on a rollercoaster,
these are the things I love most(er)!

Yeah. So, rhyming scheme is everywhere and, I don't have a big enough vocabulary to find a rhyme for most words. Haha.
When I wrote it, I was singing it... So if you can't figure out how it's supposed to go, just ask and I'll sing it for you. :P
