I apologize in advance for the nerdiness/confusingness of this blog for those of you who have never played/watched Pokémon.
You're better off just not reading it. Haha.

So, Pokémon is pretty much my favorite thing right now. Especially the games.
I don't know where I'd be if it wasn't for Pokémon, which is kinda pathetic. It was pretty much my childhood growing up: the show, the trading cards, the video games. I still have all of the cards I collected in a binder somewhere. I remember trading them with my neighbors and my sister. Every time we went to Target, we wouldn't be able to leave without a pack of Pokémon cards.
I've played the games so much that to this day, I have all of the Pokémon music memorized. I can recite all of the cities (in every region) and their gym leaders. I know all 493 Pokémon even though I don't like them all.
Maybe my opinion's biased because I grew up with these, but the first 151-251 are the best. Kanto and Johto regions all the way!! :)

Okay. Here's the best part: there're two new Pokémon games coming out around April. I found out about them the day the news was released, and I can honestly guarantee that I have NEVER, in my WHOLE LIFE, been this excited for anything. Not even kidding.
These two games are remakes of my very first Pokémon game, Pokémon Gold. This game introduced me to the world of Pokémon, and I'm so grateful to it for that. ♥
AND SO EXCITED. I've already played part of the Japanese version and just about cried. It's so AWESOME! a;lskdfj
WORDS CANNOT EVEN DESCRIBE.
Alyssa and Stephanie can vouch... They're just as excited as I am. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw a blog from either of them about Pokémon soon.
Anyway, I'm gonna stop talking about this before my blog turns out 50 pages long.

This may seem like a stupid thing to blog about to you, but it's not to me. Pokémon is my childhood. Pokémon is my life. (Okay, maybe not my life, but it makes up a darn good portion of it)
So whatever. If you don't like Pokémon, then you're missing out. That's all I have to say.

P.S. Gotta catch 'em all! :D

This is probably my favorite time of day.
We've been doing French vocabulary that deals with the kitchen and food, so I've been mighty hungry for the past hour. I watched one French video that kinda made me lose my appetite though... Bleh.
Right now. I'm sitting in the library eating my lunch. I've been forgetting my Uncrustables a lot lately, and the lunch lines never seem to have them in stock, so I've been cheating and bringing plates of food from the cafeteria into the library. I think the library staff are getting annoyed, so I better not forget my PB&Js next time!

There are two places that REALLY scare me (well, prolly a lot more places, but these two especially). That's Outer Space and the depths of the ocean.
Outer Space, because... well just because it's so flippin HUGE and unknown to us.
The ocean, because... c'mon. Do I even have to say it? Whales. Sea monsters. It's just really deep and something that's like 2931847 feet long could come and eat you.

But one thing that I love about outer space is all of the good photos that come from it! I used to want to be an astronomer, just so I could get paid for looking at stars all day. But I wouldn't be able to memorize any constellations, so I gave that up.
Anyway, NASA has this site called the Astronomy Picture of the Day, or for short, APOD, and each day they update it to have a new picture. Sometimes it's a nebula, or the view near a black hole, or the sun, or some foreign planet... but it's ALWAYS awesome. I don't really like to look at the ones that are waaay out in outer space, cause it makes me feel stranded or something. I dunno. But I REALLY like to look at the ones taken on land. They have both the Earth, which I'm familiar with, and Outer Space, which I'm not so familiar with, so that makes me feel better.

GO CHECK IT OUT!
I have a lot more pictures I was gonna post, but then it would look cluttered, so I may post them in different blogs.

Julius Caesar extinguished himself on the battlefields of Gaul. The Ides of March murdered him because they thought he was going to be made king. Dying, he gasped out: "Tee hee, Brutus."

This made me laugh out loud for REAL. I have no clue why it was so funny. I mean, I enjoyed the play Julius Caesar last year. I think it was one of my favorite things we read in 10th grade English, if not the best. I'm about to just go and rewrite that line in the play. It is just TOO hilarious.
(Do I really have that weird of a laugh?)

And on a side note, English this year is a great deal harder than before. I thought I'd be prepared, but I'm not. I think in my previous years I've been writing just enough to get by. This year is a big reality check for me. Doing just enough to get by isn't enough. You have to go over the top to succeed in the real world. I'm going to have to work on that.

EDIT: Here's the script with the scene rewritten. :D
CASCA
Speak, hands for me!

CASCA first, then the other Conspirators and BRUTUS stab CAESAR

CAESAR
Tee hee, Brutus!

I've mentioned what fun hanging out in the library during lunch is, right? Well today was exceptionally fun. And I'm not even sure why.
It was another ordinary lunch period: I was sitting in the back, goofing off with Michelle and singing along to Disney songs... The usual people passed by and we decided to join them because, hey. Where's the fun if Michelle and Stacie aren't there? (I don't even know how to type that, even though I say things like it all the time, y'know?)
I think something was wrong with the Skittles we ate, because nothing was quite right after that.
Okay. From here on, when I say "us", I mean Alyssa, Michelle, and myself. This is the usual trio I find myself hanging in. Most of the inside jokes I have made are with them and they're probably the two who understand me best--no offense. So, back on track.
We ate the Skittles. And then started laughing. And laughing. And laughing. And laughing. I collapsed on the floor behind the bookshelves with Alyssa, about to puke my guts out I was laughing so hard. Eventually, I'd stop. But just a glance toward Alyssa or Michelle would have me going again. Nothing was even funny. Even right now, as I type this, I am about to bust out laughing. During English class.

You know... I've learned something here today. I've learned that laughter IS contagious, and sometimes you can't hold it back. Not even when you're in a library and everyone, including the librarian, is staring you down.
I hope I don't get banned from the library.

...I use the word "even" a lot.

I know everyone's spirits are low... but over the weekend, I had Michelle and Alyssa stay at my house. It was a nice distraction from what was going on.

We didn't do much on Saturday. Alyssa and I played Zelda, and after Michelle arrived we watched Artificial Intelligence...which is a really good movie. Haley Joel Osment is such a cutie! Then we mainly just talked and watched Disney movies for the rest of the night.
Alyssa had to leave early on Sunday (like 8:30!!), but Michelle stayed for a while longer. We played video games... from outside. Yeah. We took a wireless controller and opened the windows so we could see the TV and stood barefoot outside in the wet, cold grass to play Playstation2. That was probably the highlight of my Sunday. And I hate Sundays.
All in all, we didn't do much, but having them over made me a lot happier.

Now the bell's about to ring and my battery's at 26%. Time to go to second period!

Here's how my spirit week went!

Twin day - I stayed home sick this day and played Wii... to make me feel better, of course.
Nerd day - I put masking tape on my glasses and went on a crazy bathroom adventure with Michelle (see previous post). After band practice, we kidnapped Michelle and gave her her birthday present. I felt particularly happy on this day.
Decades day - I didn't dress up, but I saw a lot of people wearing mustaches and white lipstick... Hmm. This day was okay.
Camo day - I didn't dress up for this day either, but Emily dyed her hair black and hot pink! That kinda shocked me, even though she told me she was gonna do it beforehand. I dunno why, but I felt sad on this day.
Blue/white day - I'm wearing my class shirt today, because I wasn't sure what spirit day it was, but I figured I couldn't go wrong wearing school colors. Alyssa got a cute hair cut too! Man, is it cute! You should go see it! (haha, I wonder is she's annoyed yet? but it seriously looks good on her!)

Everybody's changing their hair. It makes me wanna get a hair cut. But oh well.
